Is it due to the configuration or is it due to the disc drive? Turn on the system without a disc inside. If the app wants to check for a specific file on a disc before loading the emulator how about we play along? If anyone knows anyway to help please tell me.
Or is there something else I can try? They are making fairly regular improvements though so it might be more compatible with slower systems in the future. It does work but is very very slow. Since sorting out the lens levels by adjusting the gear, I've not had any read problems. I followed Bob Nelson's instructions without any problems. Hopefully this should help to put you on the right track. I bought a disc cleaner, spray air, and a new memory disc before I tried it, and all the games as well as the dvds load perfectly. You are now faced with several configuration options. And again i would like to point out i am running the Game Discs not images, rips, copies or any other not actual version of the game. In the Browser, an icon of the disc should appear on the screen. So the problem was I wasn't unzipping the entire file and then I tried to load the iso image in the emulator.

When you click 'cancel importation' after however you're asked for the sw xl disc and swapping using disc swap works as the disc is recognised. You don't make any mention what graphics card is in there. I didn't run the merged iso for 2 reasons, 1: so that i can contribute to this forum about the issue using the original discs and 2: because running the merged iso gives me a black screen with no sound despite getting no errors in the logs which is confirmed below in this post by another user. This log is from when i go to import option uptill i cancel the import and reselect the xl disc.
